Short about myself

I conduct research in the fields of statistical physics and thermodynamics (both quantum and classical domains) as well as quantum mechanics and quantum field theory. My thesis was in the field of condensed matter physics. I also have a degree in computer science. I work as a researcher in Yerevan State University Institute of Physics in the Physics of Macromolecules lab as well as in the Alikhanyan National Laboratory's Quantum Science and Technologies team.

Recent research interests

Some of my recent research topics include

  • Disordered polyelectrolytes in confined geometries such as RNA inside viruses or polyelectrolytes in nanochannels
  • Negative thermodynamic pressure in classical and quantum systems
  • Dynamics of dipoles in dipolar liquids and a microscopic theory of electric permittivity
  • Linear and non-linear dynamcis of phonons in biopolymers
  • RNA secondary structure in a sensor system with RNA on a charged surface
