Maria Apitonian

Researcher

I am a student and researcher with a growing interest in quantum information theory, classical thermodynamics, and biophysics. I have been working in the Alikhanyan Laboratory since 2021. I am currently working in the Quantum Science and Technologies team.

Education:

  • B.Sc. (Hons) Physics (2025), The Open University, UK. [In progress]
  • B.Sc. Engineering Sciences (2024), American University of Armenia. [In progress]

Research experience:

  • Adaptive machine model of the cell membrane. Investigating mechanisms of adaptation, constraints, and possible link to the low-dose effect.
  • Particle identification project for the NICA MPD detector, constructed and tested an algorithm for Λ0 and K0 identification using MpdROOT and Monte Carlo data.
